âą Manage full-cycle payroll for approximately 500 employees across Canada and the U.S. âą Process salaried, hourly, unionized, and non-union payrolls on weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly schedules âą Manage relationships with benefits and retirement savings vendors to drive cost savings and enhance coverage âą Administer benefits and retirement programs and ensure timely employee enrollment âą Develop educational materials and campaigns to increase benefits awareness and promote cost savings âą Lead annual benefits renewal processes and recommendations, including cost analysis and communications materials âą Oversee year-end payroll reporting, remittances, ROEs, T4s, RL-1s, and related filings âą Interpret and administer collective agreement payroll provisions, including premiums, wage increases, overtime, and union dues âą Prepare payroll, labor, and benefits reports for leadership âą Lead the payroll system upgrade for Canada and the U.S. to Workforce Now
âą 7+ years of progressive payroll experience âą Extensive experience processing Canadian and U.S. payrolls âą Strong knowledge of payroll legislation across Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec, and Texas âą Experience administering payroll in unionized environments âą Ability to interpret collective agreements for accurate payroll processing âą Experience managing employee benefits programs in Canada and the U.S., including enrollments, terminations, and extensions âą Experience with ASO and fully insured benefits programs in Canada âą PCP designation required âą CPM designation considered an asset âą 5+ years of advanced expertise with ADP Workforce Now âą Hands-on experience implementing ADP Workforce Now âą Strong HRIS, payroll reporting, and advanced Excel skills âą Ability to troubleshoot payroll system issues and lead testing activities âą Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy âą Strong analytical and problem-solving skills âą Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines âą Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills âą High level of confidentiality and professionalism
