• Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize requirements for automation and process improvement initiatives • Translate retirement industry business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria • Serve as the primary point of contact for developers to clarify requirements and validate solutions • Map current-state operational processes and design future-state workflows to identify automation opportunities • Apply retirement plan recordkeeping, ERISA, and regulatory knowledge to identify inefficiencies, risks, and automation candidates • Create and maintain process documentation, workflow diagrams, and requirements traceability matrices • Facilitate communication between technical teams, operations, compliance, and business stakeholders • Assist in prioritizing the automation backlog based on business impact, feasibility, regulatory risk, and ROI • Monitor deployed automations post-launch and identify enhancement opportunities • Support change management, including training materials and end-user communications • Plan and monitor special or high-impact projects
• Minimum of 10 years of retirement industry experience • 10+ years of 401(k) plan administration experience • 3+ years of experience as a business analyst, preferably supporting automation, RPA, or software development initiatives • Bachelor’s degree • Strong working knowledge of retirement plan types (401(k), 403(b), defined benefit, etc.), ERISA requirements, and recordkeeping operations • Strong understanding of business process analysis and workflow mapping methodologies (e.g., BPMN) • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment around fiduciary and compliance considerations • Familiarity with process mining or automation discovery tools • Must work from USA and be authorized to work for any US employer
