• Interact with large, complex accounts to support patient access within aligned therapeutic-area products • Provide face-to-face or virtual education to providers and staff on access and reimbursement programs • Support integration of products into office processes and workflows • Work with executives, providers, administrators, billing and coding staff, claims departments, and revenue cycle managers • Analyze reimbursement problems and offer provider-level solutions • Support local coverage decisions and pull-through to enable patient access • Monitor regional and local access landscapes and anticipate healthcare changes • Interface with the Patient Support Center and Access & Reimbursement Managers on patient case management, issue resolution, reimbursement support, and office staff education • Collaborate cross-functionally with Novartis field and internal associates to share customer insights and address access barriers • Educate healthcare professionals on acquisition pathways using approved materials • Educate complex accounts on buy-and-bill processes, workflows, facility pull-through, and alternative acquisition channels
• Bachelor’s Degree required • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech focused on Patient Services, Market Access, Sales, and/or account management • At least 2 years in a Patient Services practice support role for specialty products • Experience working with highly complex practices and/or health systems to establish access and acquisition pathways • Strategic account management experience using a proactive approach to anticipate access hurdles • Deep expertise integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs • Experience with specialty products acquired through Specialty Pharmacy networks • Knowledge of specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, and retail reimbursement pathways • Must reside within the territory or within a reasonable daily commuting distance of 60 miles from the territory border • Ability to travel 60–80% across a broad geography • Ability to drive and/or fly within the territory • Fully valid and unrestricted driver’s license required • Preferred: business and/or biological science education, advanced degree, and experience in buy-and-bill environments
