📋 Description

• Identify and review professional billing credit balances for accuracy and resolution • Perform routine credit balance adjustments and refund requests according to established policies • Research basic overpayments related to duplicate payments, posting errors, or payer processing • Document actions taken and route complex issues for escalation according to guidelines • Maintain productivity and quality standards • Perform other duties as assigned • Support accurate patient and payer account balances within Epic Professional Billing

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must reside and work full-time in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Texas before their first day of employment • High School Diploma or GED required • Level 1: At least 1 year of medical insurance credit resolution experience required • Level 2: At least 3 years of medical insurance credit resolution experience required • Level 2: CPB required to be obtained within 1 year • Experience reading and interpreting EOBs • Experience working within EMR systems; Epic preferred • Experience in billing and collections for medical facilities • Attention to detail • Good verbal and written communication skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools • Foundational knowledge of professional billing account structures and payment workflows • Ability to follow unit-defined workflows and apply policies consistently • Understanding of explanation of benefits (EOB) and insurance reimbursement methodologies
