📋 Description

• Review existing data marts • Perform detailed data profiling • Analyze and create design and mapping specifications • Identify dimensions required for facts • Complete detailed data profiling of tables included in facts • Develop and test Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes • Develop Power BI reports for testing dimensions • Test dimensions and facts for quality assurance • Update JOIN as-is data models for new fact attributes • Stage the required data • Address minor fixes in delivered data marts • Provide feedback and lessons learned at project closeout • Facilitate the effective definition and management of data architecture, including principles, strategies, methods, models, standards, guidelines, and plans • Encourage data models and practices that reduce redundancy through reuse and sharing • Identify and document enterprise data requirements • Encourage practices that improve data quality • Develop and lead transition plans guiding current data to its ideal future state • Lead or assist communication activities concerning Sectors and Government of Alberta Enterprise Architecture data architecture • Contribute to the enterprise architecture framework and corporate solution design and delivery methods • Respond to requests for extensions to the data architecture scope • Provide information, advice, guidance, and consultancy to initiatives and projects aligning with the data architecture • Establish and participate in design and architectural reviews • Support other members of the enterprise architecture team as required

🎯 Requirements

• Senior-level data architecture capability • Experience reviewing and profiling data marts and database tables • Ability to analyze and create design and mapping specifications • Knowledge of dimensions and facts in data warehouse design • Experience developing and testing Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes • Power BI report development experience • Experience testing dimensions and facts for quality assurance • Experience updating data models and adding fact attributes • Knowledge of enterprise data requirements and data governance • Ability to develop data architecture principles, strategies, models, standards, guidelines, and plans • Knowledge of data redundancy reduction through reuse and sharing • Ability to develop transition plans for current and future-state data • Understanding of Government of Alberta Enterprise Architecture (GAEA) data architecture and IMT strategies • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and solution design and delivery methods
