📋 Description

• Service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers in the assigned region • Maintain generators, diagnose and repair problems, install and replace components or entire systems • Perform maintenance and upgrades on out-of-season equipment • Conduct generator performance checks and regular maintenance • Read and follow blueprints and design specifications for installation and repair • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, controls, and other components • Test equipment for proper operation • Respond promptly to power/generator alarms • Answer assigned phone and email communications promptly • Follow safety practices and use required safety equipment • Attend and participate in designated safety and training meetings • Travel as required to client and tower locations

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of one year of intense work-related experience with generator and electrical maintenance-related software, hardware, and processes • Two or more years of generator maintenance experience preferred • Thorough knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair • Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components • Moderate computer skills • Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations • Ability to comply with OSHA Standards • Ability to lift over 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stand for long periods • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment/alarms visually and audibly • Willingness and ability to drive long distances and work daytime, evening, or night hours • Availability for overtime, emergency callouts, weekends, holidays, and assigned 24-hour on-call duty • Willingness to be away from home for extended periods • Ability to pass a DOT physical
