• Support the implementation of fundraising strategies and initiatives to achieve revenue goals aligned with the mission, vision, and strategic objectives of Penny Appeal Canada. • Cultivate and grow fundraising revenue from individuals, corporations, congregations, community groups, and other stakeholders through campaigns, special events, workplace giving, major gifts, and other fundraising initiatives. • Build and maintain strong donor relationships through effective stewardship, engagement, and timely follow-up activities. • Support development operations by ensuring accurate donor data management, gift processing, donor acknowledgements, income reconciliation, and record keeping. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Masjids, community organizations, and local leaders to facilitate year-round fundraising collections, campaign promotions, and community fundraising events. • Provide fundraising guidance, resources, and support to community partners, volunteers, organizations, and individuals engaged with Penny Appeal Canada. • Promote Penny Appeal Canada's campaigns, programs, events, and appeals through community outreach efforts and social media platforms, while acting as a positive ambassador for the organization.
• Post-secondary education in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, or a related field is preferred. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. • Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), Microsoft Office Suite, and experience with Asana or other project management platforms is considered an asset. • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, community organizations, and community leaders. • Strong program coordination, event planning, and community engagement skills. • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, and personal credibility while fostering trust and positive working relationships. • A collaborative team player who works effectively within a collegial, mission-driven, and results-oriented environment. • Flexible approach to work, including the ability to support occasional evenings, weekends, events, and community activities as required. • Valid driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle. • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador (approximately 30% of the time). • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
