• Define, block, and build levels, repeating them intensively through testing and feedback implementation • Collaborate with visual/meshing departments to ensure high visual quality while maintaining gameplay and fun • Work with designer and coder teams to create engaging maps and integrate new features into built levels • Own levels from paper design through whitebox, scripting, iteration, debugging, optimization, and delivery • Participate in dedicated established Strike Teams • Occasionally onboard new hires
• Typically 3+ years of professional level design experience • Shipped AAA title experience • Experience in level design, both practice and theory, including landmarks, routes, lines of sight, and combat arenas • Knowledge of Maya, 3DS Max, or similar 3D package • Familiarity with visual scripting • Experience working with bug-tracking tools, preferably JIRA • Ability to process, understand, and implement feedback • General understanding of creative and game development processes • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • Open-minded team player attitude • Strong work ethic and self-motivated • Proficiency in English is required because the role involves regular communication with international colleagues, partners, and stakeholders outside Québec • Candidates must be based in Canada • Candidates must come from the game industry
