📋 Description

• Develop and maintain applications written using COBOL, CICS, JCL and FOCUS/Micro-FOCUS for IBM mainframe operating systems • Provide application support services for maintenance and development of the Defense Joint Military Payroll System (DJMS) project • Plan, direct and coordinate software creation activities across multiple functional areas and products • Prioritize and allocate projects, products and resources with architects and managers • Participate in strategic technology decisions and software product definition and implementation • Make employment decisions, including hiring and rewarding • Coordinate activities of multi-team or cross-functional organizations • Direct software development projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards • Facilitate upward and cross-project-team communication, including status, variance justifications and technical information • Organize projects by developing plans, goals, strategies, roles, schedules, milestones, risks, contingencies and resource allocations • Monitor technology trends and emerging standards for new technology opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years with BS/BA; 0 years with MS/MA; 6 years with HS diploma/equivalent • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Able to obtain Public Trust • Experience with specifications for software requirement changes • Experience with design and development of software systems • Strong experience with COBOL and JCL in a mainframe environment is required • Experience developing and maintaining applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL and FOCUS/Micro-FOCUS for IBM mainframe operating systems
