• Test and commission MV/HV power system protection and control schemes across the utility, power generation, and oil & gas sectors. • Perform secondary relay injection testing on microprocessor relays/IEDs using advanced test sets such as Omicron CMC356 and CMC500. • Conduct SCADA points testing and verification. • Interpret technical drawings and troubleshoot/resolve issues in the field. • Prepare and submit detailed commissioning reports. • Contribute to the development of commissioning startup procedures and work instructions. • Uphold all safety practices in accordance with corporate, client, and industry standards. • Communicate with clients to address inquiries, discuss issues, and confirm resolutions.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Electrician Journeyman Ticket, or Electrical Engineering Technologist Diploma from a recognized institute. • Minimum 4 years of experience in protection and controls relay testing within the electrical utilities industry. • Hands-on experience with advanced relay test sets (e.g., Omicron CMC356, CMC500). • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada; VISA sponsorship is not available. • Ability to work extended periods out of town.
