📋 Description

• Balance human-centered design, business needs and requirements, and technical solutions during Service Design and Planning phases for the EI on BDM program • Interpret and synthesize user, business, and technical components into conceptual and functional designs with Product Management and Planning teams • Guide experience decisions and contribute to key planning decisions within an agile delivery model • Facilitate working sessions to gather insights, needs, and requirements and foster stakeholder collaboration • Create functional flows to visualize user experiences • Partner with Product Managers to refine features and acceptance criteria using a human-centered lens • Analyze generative research insights to inform and refine the target platform experience • Create conceptual design assets such as user flows, functional flows, journeys, and conceptual mockups • Participate in feature creation and authoring to improve quality and hygiene • Present the rationale and thinking behind design solutions • Communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, service strategy, service delivery, and implementation

🎯 Requirements

• Current Government of Canada Reliability clearance or higher required at the time of application • Experience in one or more of Design Research, Interaction Design, and Service Design, with foundational understanding of the others • Demonstrated ability to apply human-centered design practices to complex business and customer challenges across diverse user groups, products, services, and channels • Experience designing and improving end-to-end experiences across digital and physical touchpoints • Ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and operational considerations • Ability to translate research findings, customer insights, and business requirements into actionable design recommendations and solutions • Advanced proficiency in User Experience techniques • Advanced proficiency in Service Design Thinking • Preferred: proficiency with Figma, including wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and collaborative design artifacts • Preferred: experience planning, designing, and facilitating workshops • Preferred: strong qualitative research skills, including interviews, contextual inquiry, and usability testing • Preferred: ability to synthesize large volumes of qualitative data into human-centered insights • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
