The organization runs programs such as Direct Cash Transfers and a Targeted Housing Assistance Program, facilitates a National Prevention Learning Collaborative, partners with local service providers, publishes reports and webinars, and runs events to share evidence-based practices and support communities and impacted young people.

📋 Description

• Lead all core HR activities, including HR strategy, policy, administration, onboarding, reviews, performance management, benefits, offboarding, records, filings, registrations, payroll coordination, training compliance, and employee manuals. • Oversee and improve internal operations, workflows, policies, procedures, SOPs, vendors, technology systems, facilities coordination, subscriptions, contracts, MOUs, operational metrics, risk management, trainings, purchases, audits, tax filings, insurance renewals, IT security, and AI policy. • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking, project profit-and-loss analysis, invoicing, Bill.com processing and training, financial documentation, grant reporting, audits, bookkeeping, financial reporting, fund tracking, and state filings. • Maintain records and administrative documentation using Google Drive, Slack, ADP, and Toggl. • Participate in working groups, strategic planning, team culture development, leadership scheduling, and the Annual National Symposium on Solutions to End Youth Homelessness. • Map and improve operational, HR, and finance workflows during onboarding. • Establish compliant, repeatable onboarding and termination processes; administer ADP and BambooHR; improve HR data management and reporting. • Create consultant contract tracking, update HR policies and required training, establish HR and operational metrics reporting, and implement scalable systems and SOPs. • Complete audits of state compliance, filings, and staff trainings; lead operational efficiency, HR compliance, collaboration, IT risk management, and security processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 7–12 years of progressive experience in nonprofit operations, HR leadership, or organizational management, including direct experience leading onboarding and terminations. • Significant experience working directly with executive leadership, including an executive director, CEO, or president. • Demonstrated experience managing state filings and registrations for a multi-state employer. • Proficiency as a PEO is required. • Strong understanding of nonprofit operational requirements, financial structures, compliance, and HR best practices. • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment law, including FLSA, FMLA, EEO, and state-specific requirements. • Demonstrated experience implementing or improving organizational systems, workflows, and administrative tools. • Proven ability to manage budgets, track financial data, and coordinate with accounting or financial partners. • Demonstrated experience overseeing IT systems and IT security processes. • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated commitment to equity. • Ability to travel for team meetings, conferences, or partner engagements. • Proven ability to manage confidential information and operate at the highest levels of discretion. • Excellent project management and organizational skills. • Experience with BambooHR is a plus. • Ideally, experience with BambooHR, Salesforce, Toggl and time tracking, and Bill.com. • Will work 9 AM–5 PM Eastern Standard Time.
