📋 Description

• Ensure all content is evidence-based, editorially excellent, strategically aligned with client objectives, and translated into clinical benefit • Provide scientific and medical expertise, strategy, and perspectives for assigned therapeutic areas and brands • Partner with Strategic Account Directors to develop compelling medical communications programs • Serve as scientific team lead and primary quality-control contact for internal and external content development • Write, review, and direct Medical Writers, Editors, and Graphic Artists • Analyze and interpret complex medical documents and review junior team analyses • Lead or support content discussions with authors and clients • Manage and mentor Medical Writers • Maintain current knowledge through literature searches, medical conferences, and competitor analysis • Provide scientific and strategic background to writers, editors, and staff • Identify and help develop new clients and business opportunities • Manage content-development timelines and expectations • Oversee regulatory review processes and ensure consistency across client teams • Attend and help design advisory board meetings • Assist with strategic planning, business development presentations, content standards, processes, resource allocation, and staff training • Report to the Vice President – Content Development

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced life sciences degree: MD, PhD, or PharmD • Extensive medical writing experience • Communication agency experience of at least 2–3 years • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and EndNote • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting • Superior time management skills • Ability to interact professionally with clients and thought leaders in a variety of therapeutic areas • Willingness and ability to travel from moderate to extensive amounts depending upon team assignment
