• Serve as QTS’s primary local representative and maintain trusted relationships with residents, businesses, government officials, civil society, faith-based organizations, and advocacy groups • Establish a QTS community presence and act as the first point of contact for project updates, community questions, and concerns • Organize opportunities to share project updates and solicit community feedback • Lead Community Complaint Management, including fair, transparent, timely management and escalation of concerns • Attend public meetings, events, hearings, and town halls to engage stakeholders and share QTS updates • Partner with the Community Impact Team to assess community development priorities and identify partnerships and volunteer opportunities • Support Economic Development and Government Relations teams with regulatory, permitting, and policy environments • Partner with Communications & Brand teams on consistent messaging, the QTS Story, and local media engagement • Update and utilize the Community Assessment tool to inform engagement strategy and planning • Provide internal teams with insights on community sentiment, stakeholders, priorities, and risks • Maintain the key stakeholder map • Lead annual stakeholder engagement strategy, planning, and resource requests • Track and report community engagement activities
• Five or more years of experience in community engagement, public affairs, government relations, or a related field • Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, Business, or related professional experience • Experience collaborating directly with communities, particularly in industries involving land use, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic organization • Experience in crisis response and managing public opposition to development projects • Demonstrable action-oriented leadership • Exceptional communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a respectful and solution-driven manner • Master's degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, Business, or related professional experience is preferred • Experience in real estate development, energy, mining, or hyperscale projects is a plus • Ability to navigate local government processes, permitting, and regulatory frameworks while maintaining transparency and accountability • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high-growth company • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver high-quality work in tight timeframes
