📋 Description

• Hire, develop, and grow an overhead transmission line engineering team • Provide engineering supervision and leadership while maintaining a limited project load • Work closely with the Engineering Director and provide technical oversight of engineers • Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees • Establish job expectations and review employee contributions and compensation actions • Contribute engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans • Prepare and complete action plans and implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards • Resolve problems, complete audits, identify trends, improve administrative systems, and implement change • Provide oversight and technical direction to ensure proper engineering processes are followed • Develop and maintain relationships with senior engineering leaders, managers, executives, and clients • Coordinate work across engineering offices and shared resources • Cross-train employees on multi-client standards • Coordinate with Business Development to maintain workflow pipeline and backlog • Present technical solutions to customers and respond to technical concerns • Plan, prioritize, and forecast engineering requirements and training schedules • Participate in client meetings and job site visits • Provide technical support for quotes and estimating • Review and approve employee time sheets and expense statements • Ensure project cost, quality, and schedule requirements are met • Conduct QA/QC audits of design packages • Oversee internal training programs • Attend Project Kickoff meetings covering scope, specifications, budgets, schedules, and safety requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related field) from an ABET-accredited school • Minimum 5 years in management within the energy sector • Professional Engineering (PE) license • Experience in transmission line design for high-voltage utility infrastructure is preferred • Master’s Degree in Engineering Management or MBA is a plus
