📋 Description

• Own the architecture of Quo's AI agent platform • Define how teams create and run agents, including shared tools, integrations, model-call infrastructure, and execution engines • Build advanced orchestration involving multiple subagents and long-running agents • Design agent memory and self-learning based on customer feedback • Drive scale, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency of agent execution • Enable other teams to build on the platform through documentation, defaults, advocacy, and pairing • Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on coaching • Monitor developments in LLMs and agent tooling and turn them into roadmap proposals • Write substantial production code as the team's hands-on technical lead

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and scaling the backend of a product with many real users • Experience leading the architecture of business-critical services • Experience shipping LLM-powered systems to production, ideally an agent platform or orchestration layer • Experience with an adjacent system such as an ML platform, workflow engine, or real-time communications infrastructure, with hands-on LLM experience, considered relevant • Strong TypeScript and Node skills, or fluency in another backend language with willingness to ramp up • High agency and ability to independently identify and advance work • Fast learning and knowledge of models, agent frameworks, and tooling • Ability to write clear design documents and explain technical trade-offs • Customer-focused technical decision-making • Experience with Temporal or another durable workflow engine in production preferred as a bonus • Experience with customer-facing AI products preferred as a bonus • Startup founding or early-stage startup experience preferred as a bonus • Ability to work in the United States or Canada, based on the compensation locations • Relevant education considered in determining pay
