📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of designated publications available online and in print • Collaborate and follow up with authors to ensure timely manuscript delivery according to the publishing schedule • Review manuscripts for adherence to author guidelines and provide feedback • Recruit new authors and arrange author replacements for publications in the portfolio • Establish and maintain relationships with practitioners, academics, members of the judiciary, librarians, and other external legal-community partners • Act as a resource for authors and internal departments regarding portfolio publications • Develop and manage legal publications supporting legal professionals across Canada

🎯 Requirements

• A Canadian law degree, or a law degree from another jurisdiction with a Certificate of Qualification from Canada’s National Committee on Accreditation • At least 1 year’s practice/articling or legal publishing experience • Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines for print, online and newsletter releases • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of cross-departmental project teams • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills • Hands-on experience using LLMs and AI-enabled tools daily to support content and analysis • Experience iterating prompts to improve output quality and consistency • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office suite
