📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into potential violations of international trade laws, regulations, and policies • Analyze investigation allegations and findings to determine regulatory obligations and external reporting requirements • Draft disclosures and reports for government agencies and internal stakeholders • Collaborate with the Global Compliance team and business stakeholders • Provide updates on investigation status and report on trends, compliance risks, and remedial actions • Contribute to the development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of policies, standard operating procedures, and processes related to investigations and disclosures • Promote a “Speak Up” culture and uphold the RTX Code of Ethics • Report to the Director and Chief Legal Counsel, Global Trade Investigations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Laws degree • 5+ years of relevant global trade experience • Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. export control and sanctions regulations • Prior experience conducting witness interviews and drafting disclosures for regulatory agencies • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously • Experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is an asset but not required • Strong proficiency in English to read and understand technical documentation and terminology on a daily basis, and to write and communicate in English with international clients, suppliers, or colleagues • Successful completion of a criminal background check • Ability to obtain all necessary authorizations related to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
