📋 Description

• Lead financial accounting and advisory services across multiple operating entities • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, financial controls, and chart of accounts standards • Monitor financial health, performance, and sustainability of operating units • Conduct financial reviews, analyze KPIs, and develop corrective action plans with leadership • Provide strategic financial advice to mission leaders and stakeholders • Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, variance analysis, and performance monitoring • Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end processes • Manage audits, regulatory filings, charitable and tax returns, and financial statement preparation • Support cash flow management, capital projects, government funding initiatives, and stakeholder reporting • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff while promoting continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• Completion of an undergraduate degree in Accounting or a related discipline • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required • Five to seven (5-7) years of progressive accounting, finance, or business management experience • Leadership responsibility for budgeting, financial management, and operational oversight • Supervisory and leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and team development • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and audit processes • Experience developing solutions to complex business and financial challenges and managing large-scale initiatives • Ability to exercise sound judgment with a high degree of independence • Strong understanding of integrated business systems, automated workflows, accounting technologies, cloud-based and web-enabled applications • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools • Ability to interpret, analyze, and present complex financial information • Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer service skills • Non-profit sector experience is considered an asset
