📋 Description

• Own design for strategic initiatives within a product area • Frame problems and design and build experiences across web and mobile • Carry products through launch and iteration with product and engineering partners • Engage directly with strategic customers and incorporate their feedback into the design process • Lead large, ambiguous initiatives from problem framing through launch and iteration • Demonstrate sound judgment and taste in deliverables • Bring customer insights and product data into product decisions • Leverage AI tools throughout the design process and define new ways of working • Stay informed about emerging trends, tools, and technology • Ship code to production across the design system, web products, and mobile apps • Lead through building rather than politics

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications • Portfolio with case studies demonstrating work on ambiguous, multi-part problems and post-launch outcomes; applications without a portfolio cannot be considered • Deep interaction and visual design skills • Experience using AI tools in regular design practice, such as Cursor or Figma Make, with attributable shipped work • Experience mentoring designers, formally or informally • Direct customer research experience and ability to use research in product decisions • Experience shipping with cross-functional teams on short cycles • Candidates must reside in Canada • Legal right to work at Samsara and in the specified work location
