📋 Description

• Perform inpatient coding audits for facility reporting • Apply working knowledge of reimbursement systems including MS-DRG, APR-DRG, IPPPS, APC, and RBRVS • Provide educational services to clients, coders, and/or providers based on audit results • Analyze audit results to identify patterns, trends, and problematic areas • Communicate opportunities for coder improvement initiatives • Use a mini desktop computer in a virtual, Windows-based office environment • Use coding books, procedure manuals, and online encoders as resources

🎯 Requirements

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS/P or CPC • 3+ years’ experience in inpatient auditing skills • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and/or CPT-4 codes • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently • Computer knowledge of MS Office • Must maintain strict patient and physician confidentiality • Must follow all federal, state and hospital guidelines for release of information • Must maintain current working knowledge of PCS and ICD-10 coding principles, government regulation, protocols
