📋 Description

• Join SignalFire’s Talent Network for Staff Backend Engineer roles at VC-backed startups rather than applying for one specific job • Build scalable, high-performance backend systems at early-stage startups • Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend services • Develop scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud architectures • Optimize databases, caching layers, and event-driven architectures • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define backend strategy and align it with business goals • Ensure backend systems are secure, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient • Establish best practices for software development, DevOps, and system monitoring • Submit an application to SignalFire’s Talent Ecosystem • SignalFire reviews applications on an ongoing basis and may share profiles with portfolio companies • SignalFire talent partners or startup leaders may contact matched candidates • Keep unmatched profiles on file for future backend engineering roles

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience with a track record of building scalable systems • Expertise in backend frameworks including Node.js, Django, Flask, Ruby on Rails, FastAPI, and Spring Boot • Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis • Proficiency with AWS, GCP, or Azure • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization tools • Strong coding skills in Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Ruby • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
