📋 Description

• Collect revenue generated by the Sales department • Build lasting relationships with customers and foster positive interactions • Communicate with customer organizations regarding overdue invoices and billing issues • Manage a portfolio of 300 to 600 collection accounts across Canadian or U.S. regions • Communicate with approximately 40 customers per day by email and phone • Negotiate payment terms to maximize the amount recovered • Develop and maintain customer relationships and uphold Softchoice’s accounts receivable policy • Manage the suspension of overdue accounts to reduce the risk of loss • Authorize orders up to $50K and recommend orders over $50K to the appropriate managers • Collaborate with sales representatives to proactively resolve payment, billing, pricing, product, or service issues • Record and track collection activities using the monthly aging report • Meet individual and team collection targets • Perform periodic account reconciliations • Work as part of a team and adapt to a rapidly evolving technology environment

🎯 Requirements

• College diploma (preferably in accounting or finance) or related experience • 2 to 3 years of B2B collections experience focused on mid-market to enterprise customers • Knowledge of the collections escalation process • Problem-solving skills • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Related account management experience • Customer service orientation • Fluency in English is required • Two years of experience in the technology industry is an asset
