📋 Description

• Deploy, upgrade, and maintain High-Speed Data infrastructure supporting critical Internet services • Perform day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of HSD systems • Analyze, design, develop, and test new and existing technologies • Implement new software related to engineering technologies and projects • Maintain lifecycle management environments for HSD applications • Assist with upgrades to technologies relying on backend applications • Create low-level design documentation, configuration templates, procedures, application diagrams, knowledge-base articles, bills of materials, and support documentation • Conduct training for new technology integration, technology upgrades, product design, and implementation • Analyze project requests to estimate time and cost • Work on project teams to determine requirements, risks, and limitations • Perform on-call duties, customer equipment escalations, and overnight network changes • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux systems, DOCSIS provisioning, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and access policies • Use Python, Ansible, and other scripting/programming tools to automate tasks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize systems • Respond to escalated requests and serve as a technical point of contact for the HSD Systems Engineering team • Manage vendor solutions while maintaining security compliance and high system availability

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum two years of related progressive experience in a network engineering role required • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing CentOS or RHEL environments • 4+ years designing, deploying, and operating high-availability corporate and telecommunications networks • Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills • Proficiency with Shell, Python, Perl, Docker, and/or Ansible • Expertise in advanced troubleshooting and industry-standard network-security best practices • Associate-level networking certification required • RHCSA, RHCE, or CCNA listed as relevant certifications • Professional-level networking certification preferred • Previous MSO/cable-industry experience preferred • Must be flexible and able to work on-call outside business hours • Up to 10% travel required • Experience with application design and implementation in DHCP, DNS, or NTP preferred • Experience with Incognito, Infoblox, or Red Hat products preferred • Experience with IPv4, IPv6, DHCP, DNS, Docker, LDAP, and other relevant technologies/standards preferred • Proficiency in networking essentials • Ability to manage vendor relationships • Ability to troubleshoot escalated application issues • Successful background, drug screening, and reference checks required before hire
