📋 Description

• Partner with Talent Acquisition Partners to understand candidate profiles, hiring priorities, and sourcing needs • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies across Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, G&A, and other functions • Identify and engage passive talent through sourcing channels, research methods, communities, networks, and creative approaches • Manage multiple searches and adjust strategies based on pipeline performance, candidate feedback, and evolving priorities • Understand Tailscale’s product, technology, business, and culture to identify suitable candidates • Translate technical and specialized role requirements into effective searches • Research companies, technologies, communities, and talent pools beyond traditional sources • Build talent-market knowledge in infrastructure, networking, security, developer tools, cloud technologies, and other functions • Evaluate pipeline health, identify search challenges, and improve sourcing outcomes using data and market insights • Conduct talent research and market mapping • Surface insights on candidate availability, market trends, and search constraints • Build reusable talent maps and research • Incorporate inclusive sourcing practices and broaden candidate representation • Create personalized outreach and build relationships with passive candidates • Assess candidate interest, motivation, experience, and alignment • Ensure seamless candidate handoffs and consistent candidate experience • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Partners, Sourcers, Operations, and hiring teams • Participate in sourcing jams and share techniques, talent pools, market observations, and learnings • Support high-priority or specialized searches • Partner with Talent Acquisition Operations to improve tools, workflows, data quality, automation, and AI-enabled practices

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of talent sourcing and/or recruiting experience • Experience sourcing technical talent across multiple functions such as Engineering, Product, Design, GTM, or G&A • Ability to understand complex or unfamiliar roles and translate requirements into sourcing strategies • Strong research skills and sourcing techniques beyond basic keyword, title, or traditional platform searches • Strong passive candidate engagement and personalized outreach skills • Strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple searches and evaluate pipeline effectiveness using sourcing data • Collaborative and adaptable working style • Experience using sourcing platforms and ATS technology • Interest in AI, automation, and emerging sourcing tools
