📋 Description

• Implementation, administration, configuration and operation of network components (routers, switches, access gateways) and security gateways (Cisco FWSM and ASA) • Administration, configuration, operation and maintenance of additional services in network environments (e.g. QoS, TACACS) • Renewal and adaptation of outdated hardware and software in the course of technological progress while taking operational requirements into account • Network infrastructure: Ensuring availability, performance and operational security in accordance with defined OLAs (Operational Level Agreements) based on defined metrics, transactions and logs within the network infrastructure • Design, further development, implementation and operation of the network infrastructure within the state networks based on technical requirements or project-driven work • Design and implementation of new or additional functions or replacement of hardware and/or software as part of additional technical requirements (introduction of new services or extended security requirements according to BSI) • Conceptual implementation of changed security requirements • Implementation or maintenance of basic protection according to BSI (IT-Grundschutz) • Renewal of outdated hardware and software in the course of technological progress while taking operational requirements into account • For systems and network infrastructure: Monitoring of deployed systems with management and monitoring tools, definition, analysis and evaluation of reports as well as adjustment and optimization or implementation of resulting technical measures according to operational requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Detailed and in-depth expertise in the area of service provider networks (routers including virtual contexts and dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, IPv6, GetVPN and BGP), multilayer switched networks, Quality of Service) comparable to CCNP Service Provider/Cisco Certified Network Professional, and theoretical knowledge at the level of CCNP Enterprise with extensive practical experience • Detailed and in-depth expertise in the area of firewalls (Cisco FWSM, ASA or Firepower) including virtual contexts with extensive practical experience (comparable to CCSP/Cisco Certified Security Professional) • Detailed and solid knowledge and experience in several other areas (e.g. MPLS networks, SRv6, SD-WAN, encryption technologies, TACACS, monitoring systems/software, documentation tools) • Detailed and in-depth skills in problem analysis (troubleshooting, protocol analysis down to the application layer) • Good knowledge of data protection and information security
