📋 Description

• Own Techstars OS features end to end, from design, data ingestion, and API layers through testing, deployment, and the web app • Build AI-native features including semantic and federated network search, retrieval over portfolio and founder data, and assistive workflows • Lead migration and shutdown of legacy founder tools, including Techstars Universe and the application management system • Consolidate legacy functionality into Techstars OS or retire it cleanly • Build Enterprise Data Platform and OS pipelines that support real-time features, search, and AI use cases • Improve reliability and velocity through testing, code review, CI/CD, and integration of AI coding tools • Act as a technical resource by unblocking teammates, contributing to architecture decisions, and maintaining context across time zones

🎯 Requirements

• Strong TypeScript and Python • Solid React experience • Proficiency with relational databases, including data modeling, migrations, and query performance • PostgreSQL experience • Experience building end-to-end data pipelines covering ingestion, transformation, and downstream delivery • Experience with event streaming or a comparable system • Experience shipping LLM-backed features to production, including retrieval, embeddings, and evaluation • Experience operating containerized services in a major cloud with infrastructure as code • Experience with GCP and AWS • Track record of owning features from zero to production • Track record of retiring old systems without breaking downstream systems • Strong written communication • High tolerance for autonomy in a remote-first environment • Techstars uses E-Verify to check the work authorization of all new hires • Nice to have: event-driven architectures and Kafka-based data platforms • Nice to have: evaluation and observability for LLM features • Nice to have: MCP or other production-system tool surfaces • Nice to have: identity and authentication systems such as Keycloak • Nice to have: search infrastructure such as OpenSearch • Nice to have: Next.js and Material UI • Nice to have: financial or investment data experience • Nice to have: prior work at an accelerator, investment firm, or high-growth startup
