📋 Description

• Provide customers with revenue cycle assessments, systemic issue identification, and system/process solutions • Assess customer revenue cycle integrity and workflow processes to improve efficiency and achieve revenue objectives • Research systemic billing and reimbursement issues and develop approaches to resolve them • Develop non-standard reports and analyze billing data and trends • Assist with processing and troubleshooting medical claims • Work with hospital or medical records staff to ensure correct diagnoses and procedures are reported • Participate in customer revenue cycle assessments and design improvement solutions • Research root causes of initiatives preventing timely billing and reimbursement • Assemble, analyze, and clearly present data and findings • Collaborate with customer Revenue Cycle departments to communicate findings and implement improvements • Create training documentation and provide software and process training on the MEDITECH Accounts Receivable module and third-party vendor clearinghouses • Keep updated on billing and benefit changes for third-party insurance carriers • Prepare weekly or as-needed customer status reports covering productivity, return on investment, revenue, and usage • Act as lead and subject matter expert in claims processing, collections, Medicare, Medicaid, MEDITECH, and third-party claims submission vendors • Perform special projects and other assigned duties • Consult with senior team members on work approach and work product • Contribute to team objectives and outcomes • Develop skills and increase proficiency within the discipline

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Accounting, Math, Business or related fields; or equivalent combination of education and experience • 2+ years revenue cycle analysis or related experience • Experience mentoring less experienced team members • Solid knowledge of third-party billing requirements and HIPAA 837/835 electronic language • Good working knowledge of medical terminology, billing guidelines, HIPAA and compliance • W2 project-based consultants must provide a computing device adhering to industry standards and security best practices • Ability to maintain high standards for work quality • Ability to thrive under time constraints • Service mentality • Autonomy and excellent follow-through • Openness to feedback and mindset to grow skills
