• Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions. • Contact prescribers and/or patients to verify prescription information and expedite order processing. • Collaborate with prescribers to tailor infusion regimens, including pre-medications and adverse-reaction medications. • Verify prescription information entered by data or order entry. • Verify refilled prescriptions for accuracy and safety. • Contact physicians for new and transfer prescriptions. • Consult patients about medication use, potential drug interactions, adverse reactions, and mitigation strategies. • Provide guidance on medication stability and safe use within professional guidelines. • Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. • Track order status and outstanding issues. • Handle customer calls regarding lost orders or dispensing errors. • Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels while adapting to changing priorities. • Back up other pharmacists, perform assigned duties, and train less experienced pharmacists.
• Current resident state pharmacist license in good standing • Advanced problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions • Strong customer-service focus with varied patient interaction experience • Strong focus on quality and accuracy while maintaining process efficiency • Ability to manage time and stay organized for timely training and patient-care follow-through • Ability to adapt to a changing environment • Flexibility to accommodate business needs • Ability to navigate IT systems and independently troubleshoot basic IT issues • Ability to make independent decisions quickly to support patient care • Ability to take initiative when challenges arise • Interest in lifelong learning, receiving feedback, and continuous improvement • Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Indiana, Ohio, or Pennsylvania • During training, availability Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Eastern Time • After training, availability Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, plus a one-week on-call rotation approximately twice per year and two Saturdays per year • Home internet through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
