📋 Description

• Lead conceptual and detailed engineering design and cost estimation for complex capital projects • Develop manufacturing alternatives and processing solutions • Generate and develop PFDs and P&IDs • Specify, select, and evaluate equipment and equipment suppliers • Develop construction scopes and bid packages for capital projects • Coordinate and oversee equipment and system installation, checkout, and commissioning • Provide process support, troubleshooting, and optimization during startup • Train manufacturing personnel, including operators, supervisors, QA, and maintenance staff • Transition deliverables and documentation to Plant Operations and Maintenance • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for process-focused capital projects • Lead multifunctional teams and make critical decisions under pressure • Mentor peers on food industry processes, construction practices, standards, and codes • Identify improvement opportunities through data evaluation, loss analysis, and experimentation • Introduce technologies or methods to improve system performance and standardize improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Food Processing, Confectionery, Pharmaceutical or related industries • Process engineering, process design and project management experience, including process troubleshooting and optimization • Advanced understanding and application of common Salty Snacks process unit operations and equipment, sanitary design, construction practices, GMPs and Food Safety • Knowledge of powder and liquid storage, weighing and delivery, blending systems, depositing systems, baking and frying technology, and seasoning technology • Advanced understanding of process piping systems, food manufacturing equipment, process automation and instrumentation • Experience relevant to Hershey Salty Snacks manufacturing processes, construction practices, standards, and codes • Ability to prioritize solutions and develop schedules based on business objectives • Exceptional problem-solving and optimization skills • Ability to execute projects in a timely manner • BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Food, Agricultural, or closely related Engineering field • Recognized leadership and decision-making ability • Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced written and oral communication skills • Openness and comfort with change • Proficiency with MS Office programs
