📋 Description

• Work directly with the CTO • Define architecture and shape product direction • Own systems end-to-end from design through implementation, monitoring, and iteration • Interact directly with customers • Build internal AI workflows to accelerate engineering velocity • Help determine how engineering operates at Tightknit • Develop Tightknit’s integrations platform connecting applications where customer engagement occurs • Work on embedding and retrieval architecture powering the intelligence layer and unified semantic and keyword search • Work on the AI agent for community programming • Release features and ship production code • Own scoped, consequential projects end-to-end • Propose improvements to engineering systems, AI workflows, APIs, and performance • Lead cross-cutting initiatives such as integrations, refactors, reliability improvements, and new surface areas • Have direct customer conversations • Make architectural decisions that improve Tightknit’s trajectory • Participate in a paid SuperDay involving mock tasks similar to the role’s day-to-day work • Meet potential direct team members and founders during the SuperDay

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience as a full-time full-stack engineer • Strong backend engineering fundamentals • Experience designing production systems • Ability to learn the listed technologies quickly • Ability to talk to customers, synthesize their requests, and create thoughtful, detailed products • Good eye for distinguishing good versus bad UX • Ability to use AI and digital employees effectively to multiply individual and team productivity • Experience at an early-stage startup or working directly with founders strongly preferred • Experience delivering enterprise products is a bonus • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js, TanStack, Node.js, and Tailwind • Familiarity with Cloudflare Workers, KV, Durable Objects, Workflows, and Queues, plus Vercel • Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Drizzle, and Supabase • Familiarity with the Slack platform, OpenAPI APIs, and event-driven architectures • Familiarity with GitHub, Linear, Slack, OpenAI, Claude, Cursor, Antigravity, Notion, PostHog, Mintlify, Canva, and Sentry • Ability to operate independently with high accountability • Ability to speak to the value and impact of community; community-group membership is a major plus • Must sign an NDA/CLA as part of the SuperDay arrangement • Must complete the paid SuperDay compatibility check
