📋 Description

• Set the vision, standards, and strategy for product design aligned with Tilt’s strategic objectives • Set and maintain the craft quality bar across all shipped product surfaces • Manage, mentor, and develop 6 product designers and 1 researcher • Own hiring and build career paths, feedback processes, and team rituals • Showcase design work at company-wide rituals • Push design into problem definition and roadmap-setting • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional leadership on operating systems • Advocate for users using research, verbatims, and evidence across credit, growth, engineering, and other functions • Build Tilt’s research practice into a durable capability • Steward and scale the Tilt Design System, including illustrations, typography, color, and copy • Identify and implement valuable AI and automation applications in design and delivery workflows • Partner with Marketing’s Creative team to align product experience and brand expression • Report directly to the Head of Product

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years designing and shipping consumer-facing mobile products • Experience ideally in fintech or another domain with significant complexity • 5+ years managing designers • Track record of building teams, raising craft standards, and developing designers • Experience shaping roadmap and strategy alongside Product and Engineering leaders • Interest in business mechanics and financial impact • Portfolio demonstrating craft, user problems, design decisions, and business outcomes • Evidence-driven approach and ability to work comfortably in ambiguity • Ability to obtain user signal without a dedicated research team • Ability to communicate design arguments clearly at the executive level • Deep proficiency in Figma • Curiosity about AI in design workflows
