📋 Description

• Safely and effectively diagnose, repair various Caterpillar mining shovels and earthmoving equipment in a timely manner • Ensure high quality standards and positive customer relations • Participate in safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives • Diagnose mechanical problems using Caterpillar testing equipment • Repair and/or assemble allied or competitive Caterpillar earthmoving equipment as required • Work with the customer on 993 loader, 6020 & 6030 diesel shovels • Prepare service reports and service documentation in an accurate and timely manner • Participate as an integrated member of onsite mechanical staff • Maintain good customer relations • Comply with company and customer health and safety policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Post-secondary education in the field of heavy equipment mechanics or heavy engine mechanics • Minimum 2 years of experience as a technician in repair and service of heavy construction equipment and/or heavy mining equipment • Experience with Cat Mining equipment 777-785 • Experience with mining 6020 - 6030 shovels (desired asset) • Must hold a Provincial Red Seal license in heavy duty/heavy equipment mechanics.
