📋 Description

• Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities • Prepare and review complex journal entries and reconciliations • Investigate discrepancies through to resolution • Lead revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting • Research technical accounting matters and apply appropriate accounting guidance to complex and non-routine transactions • Oversee intercompany accounting, consolidations, eliminations, foreign currency transactions, and financial reporting across multiple entities and currencies • Lead subsidiary and entity-level audits • Support the consolidated annual audit • Contribute to cash management, cash-flow forecasting, tax and regulatory reporting, and accounting controls • Identify opportunities to improve and automate accounting processes, systems, reconciliations, and reporting, including AI and automation opportunities within Finance • Review accounting work and mentor junior and intermediate team members • Report to the Controller

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience • Strong technical accounting knowledge across revenue recognition, deferred revenue, financial reporting, and complex transactions • Strong ASPE knowledge • Ability to research accounting guidance, determine appropriate treatment, and clearly document conclusions • Hands-on experience investigating complex reconciliations and significant variances • Experience with multi-entity, multi-currency, inter-company, and consolidation accounting • Strong Excel and accounting system/ERP skills • Ability to take ownership of complex accounting issues and work independently • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and collaborate effectively with the broader Finance team • Must be legally able to work in Canada • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA is a bonus • Experience improving and automating accounting processes, including AI, QuickBooks automation, or Adyen payment processor reconciliations, is a bonus • Experience with treasury, cash management, foreign currency accounting, or leading subsidiary/entity-level audits is a bonus • Experience in a growing, multi-entity organization and exposure to U.S. GAAP are bonuses
