📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain logical and physical data models for credit and lending domains • Translate business requirements into scalable data architectures using dimensional modeling, normalized models, Data Vault methodologies, and domain-driven design principles • Partner with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and SMEs to align business definitions and governance standards • Develop and maintain data dictionaries, mapping documents, lineage artifacts, and metadata documentation • Optimize data models for analytics, reporting, regulatory requirements, dashboards, and downstream applications • Support onboarding and integration of mortgages, credit cards, secured lending, and revolving credit products • Validate model scalability, usability, and performance in Snowflake environments • Contribute to bronze, silver, and gold medallion architecture layers • Assist with data quality initiatives, business rule validation, and cross-system reconciliation activities • Support enterprise data transformation initiatives for a financial services client

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, data architecture, or related disciplines • Strong enterprise data modeling experience within financial services, banking, lending, or other regulated industries • Deep understanding of credit and lending concepts, including loan lifecycle management, balances, payment structures, interest calculations, and customer-account relationships • Expertise in dimensional modeling, third normal form (3NF), and/or Data Vault methodologies • Strong experience translating business requirements into scalable, governed data structures • Experience with enterprise data governance frameworks and metadata management practices • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS, or other cloud-based data platforms • Ability to interpret, reconcile, and standardize complex financial data definitions across multiple source systems • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline • English essential • Currently authorized to work in Canada • Bonus: Experience with ERwin Data Modeler and advanced ERwin data modeling • Bonus: Experience with lakehouse or medallion architecture environments • Bonus: Exposure to Collibra or similar data governance and metadata platforms • Bonus: Experience supporting highly regulated financial institutions • Bonus: Knowledge of broader financial products and financial services ecosystems • Bonus: Experience supporting regulatory reporting and compliance data initiatives • Bonus: Ability to translate complex business rules into governed, reusable enterprise data assets • Data-related certifications are considered an asset
