📋 Description

• Develop and maintain backend services and API integrations in Go connecting the platform to external billing systems • Build usage tracking, estimates, usage alerts, and invoicing features • Collaborate with engineering teams to understand how features are measured and charged • Help complete billing migrations to external systems while maintaining data accuracy and avoiding customer impact • Investigate and resolve billing issues raised by Support and Finance • Contribute to anti-abuse measures and protect sensitive customer and payment data • Partner with Finance, Product, and Support • Communicate asynchronously with globally distributed teams • Write tested, well-documented code • Participate in pair programming and code reviews • Use AI-assisted tools thoughtfully in the workflow • Potentially contribute to project provisioning and account management services • Own billing components and serve as a key link between Engineering, Finance, and Product

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional backend development in Go • Hands-on experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL/MariaDB • Experience integrating with external REST APIs, including handling errors, retries, and rate limits • Attention to detail in systems where a mistake can reach a customer's invoice • Interest in concepts like idempotency and consistency in distributed systems • Habit of writing unit and integration tests, including for failure paths • Understanding of common security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them in backend services • Enjoyment of working on billing and financial systems • Clear written communication and collaboration across teams and time zones • Legally authorized to work in Canada, France, Germany, Spain, or the United Kingdom • Ability to complete a background check
