• Develop and review concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft • Support technical content creation for B&P, R&D, and mission opportunities • Develop system-level technical visions connecting customer needs with feasible solutions across hardware and software • Develop and perform trade studies for technical, business, and programmatic decision-making • Perform power and avionics design and analysis for mission concepts • Right-size power architectures to meet mission objectives and requirements • Contribute to schedules, resourcing, and budget estimates • Communicate with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to resolve technical risks and challenges • Participate in customer and partner visits and technical interchange meetings • Translate customer requirements into product goals and system architectures for customers, proposals, and stakeholders • Participate in cross-functional meetings to align engineering solutions with mission needs, business needs, and the technology roadmap
• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a similar related discipline plus 10 years of relevant engineering experience • Relevant advanced degree may be considered in lieu of equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience in one or more of: space system development, systems engineering, structure/thermal design and analysis, avionics, power systems, propulsion, orbital mechanics, electrical systems, mechanical and fluid systems, software and controls, modeling and simulation, and/or manufacturing • Experience developing technical content for proposals and external customer presentations • Experience authoring and decomposing mission and system-level requirements • Strong understanding of launch, space, and lunar environments • Understanding of full end-to-end mission solutions • Experience with mission architecture development • Experience writing and reviewing software scripts for automation and analysis • Knowledge of NASA/industry engineering standards • Experience working in an agile environment using tools such as Confluence and Jira • Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance • Must be a U.S. Person: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) • Must be eligible to obtain required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or Department of Commerce
