📋 Description

• Follow and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) • Negotiate payment arrangements with borrowers to obtain commitments for payment and/or account reinstatement • Suggest ways borrowers can meet their obligations, propose alternative payment methods, and establish payment procedures • Review accounts for special assistance, including loan modifications and extensions, and gather required information or documents • Initiate and review repossession efforts to recover collateral • Accurately and professionally document account information and collection activities • Conduct skip-tracing investigations using database searches and system records to determine customer whereabouts • Perform outbound and inbound calls through an auto-dialing or manual telephone system • Maintain satisfactory work efforts on an assigned queue and meet or exceed daily and monthly goals • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ year(s) of experience in the collections field, preferably in the subprime consumer lending industry • Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Ability to read, interpret and apply federal, state, and local collections regulations • Ability to interact with customers in a professional, tactful, and sensitive manner • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and to work independently and as part of a team • Available to work a flexible work schedule and overtime as needed • High School Diploma or GED • Bilingual English/Spanish is required
