📋 Description

• Design and implement shared infrastructure for AI-assisted development across Wealthsimple • Consolidate one-off and custom LLM tools into a governed, reusable platform • Build AI-powered developer productivity tooling, including AI-assisted code review, automated PR approvals, and intelligent deployment checks • Design policy controls, verification layers, and governance tooling to keep AI interactions safe, compliant, and aligned with company standards • Drive platform adoption across teams using Ruby on Rails, Python, TypeScript, and Java/Kotlin • Track adoption, satisfaction, and impact using data to guide product development • Define standards and practices for LLM integrations, cost governance, and AI-assisted engineering tooling • Partner with teams across the organization, contribute documentation and code reviews, and mentor developers

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development as part of a team • Meaningful experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or developer tooling • Growing track record building AI-powered or LLM-driven systems • Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI tooling, including LLM-powered developer tools, AI APIs, agents, or automation • Understanding of the practical realities of working with models like Claude in production systems • Product mindset for internal platforms and experience measuring adoption and impact • Experience with two or more of Ruby, Python, TypeScript, or Java/Kotlin • Experience building governance, policy, or guardrail systems • Data-informed decision-making, including establishing baselines, setting targets, and tracking progress • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills • Collaborative spirit and passion for mentorship • Ability to present technical ideas to diverse audiences • Legally eligible to work in Canada
