📋 Description

• Build standardized, framework-agnostic services for model training, efficient inference, evaluation, and monitoring across traditional ML and GenAI • Provide centralized, governed access to internal and external LLMs • Establish the technical direction for how ML and LLM models are trained, shipped, and operated across Wealthsimple • Partner with stakeholders across product domains, infrastructure teams, data scientists, and software engineers to tackle technical problems at scale • Build framework-agnostic services supporting Wealthsimple's machine learning needs • Establish the roadmap and architecture for Wealthsimple's Machine Learning platform • Build highly performant, scalable systems for the ML platform on Kubernetes and Ray • Set the technical direction for scalable projects with a large amount of autonomy • Improve ML-ops tooling and support the launch of new data products

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience implementing production-ready services • 3+ years of experience with Python • 5+ years of software development experience in ML infrastructure, ML tooling, or ML engineering • Proven experience designing and implementing highly performant, scalable systems with good observability • Proven experience owning projects end-to-end and tending complex systems over the long term • Preferred experience with the ML ecosystem, including PyTorch, Transformers, Ray, feature stores, Elasticsearch, vector databases, Triton, CUDA, DVC, and vLLM • Experience with Kubernetes, FastAPI, MLflow, Bedrock, Chronon Feature Store, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Snowflake • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
