WES offers credential assessment reports (including ECAs for Canadian immigration), digital tools like iGPA and AccessWES, research and policy work, and social impact programs and philanthropy aimed at improving economic inclusion and workforce pathways for newcomers.

📋 Description

• Support WES’ 100% mission-aligned investment portfolio, including catalytic and thematic investing strategies • Develop investment pipelines and originate new opportunities • Conduct market research and investment due diligence across financial, strategic, and impact dimensions • Perform investment analysis, financial modeling, benchmarking, portfolio monitoring, dashboards, reporting, forecasts, and trend analysis • Contribute to WES’ overarching investment strategy • Develop screening and investment memos and other decision-making materials • Improve end-to-end investment processes, diligence frameworks, portfolio monitoring, valuation processes, and reporting systems • Manage project management and CRM systems supporting mission-investing milestones and goals • Support portfolio monitoring, valuation, performance reporting, cash and investment reviews, and risk assessments • Serve as an internal connector and advocate for impact investing across WES departments • Develop and execute a knowledge management strategy • Support department leadership and management with ad hoc administrative work • Support learning, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership among investee partners and the broader field • Collaborate with WES departments, executive leadership, Board members, internal stakeholders, and external partners

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience • 2+ years of related work experience or 1 year of work experience • Experience in impact investing or an adjacent field such as venture capital, venture philanthropy, private equity, community development financing, fund investments, social enterprise development, investment banking, and/or private debt • Strong analytical and data management skills • Strong project management skills • Experience working with financial statements, conducting portfolio analysis, building models, and preparing summaries and visuals • Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OneDrive • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems • Experience with Tableau and Google Apps • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build trust with diverse stakeholder groups • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to generate innovative approaches • Commitment to WES’ mission, trust-based investing, and JEDI • MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is desired • Willingness to travel as needed to meet partners, attend conferences, and visit WES’ NYC and Toronto offices periodically
