📋 Description

• Own technical direction across the Virtual Assembly Line growth and operations engineering domain • Keep architecture aligned with product direction and ensure consistent execution of technical decisions • Set the technical bar and personally tackle the hardest engineering problems • Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions • Architect systems and APIs for AI agents as first-class users with machine-readable contracts • Drive the team’s shift to agentic engineering while ensuring safe automation and human accountability • Mentor and challenge engineers within the Virtual Assembly Line team • Build a high-performing engineering culture • Embed security and reliability as direct customer value • Report directly to the CTO

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience with multiple general-purpose programming languages • Proven experience architecting scalable and secure systems • Extensive experience designing and implementing APIs for system integration and automated AI-agent consumers • Agile and result-oriented mindset with emphasis on collaboration and teamwork • Ability to communicate with stakeholders in business terms and understand technical implications • Experience driving technical alignment and following through on critical technical decisions in fast-paced environments • Experience leading a team through a major workflow or tooling shift, including safe use of automation and AI agents • Ability to own features end-to-end from problem statement through shipped and maintained product • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English • German proficiency considered a plus • Experience with TypeScript, React, Nest.js, Next.js, VueJS, Ruby on Rails, or Flutter • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, GKE/Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Terraform/IaC, Vercel, or Datadog • Experience with PostgreSQL, BigQuery, SQLMesh, Looker, Linear, Notion, Figma, or Miro
