📋 Description

• Design and build AI agents and automated workflows for clinic operations, including insurance benefits verification, prior authorizations, patient intake, claims, and clinical documentation • Build web and mobile features for clinicians, patients, families, and internal operations teams • Take ambiguous problems from 0 to 1 with operators and clinicians; define problems, write specifications, and ship first versions • Design services, data models, and APIs; manage infrastructure as code • Own services in production, including deployments, monitoring, and incident response • Write evaluations for model-facing features and track workflow metrics • Handle protected health information safely using least-privilege access, no PHI in logs, and auditable changes • Build and maintain skills, plugins, MCP integrations, and review bots used with Claude Code and Codex • Work across the healthcare platform's full stack in a flat engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software • Recent, hands-on experience using or building AI harnesses beyond model API calls, including project instructions, tools, MCP servers, skills, hooks, subagents, or evals • At least one personal project built and published on the web that is live and usable by anyone; ideally a SaaS with working payments such as Stripe • Track record of owning products or features end to end • Strong full-stack skills in Python and TypeScript across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure • Comfort working in a large, established codebase • Hands-on experience with LLM tool use, agent orchestration, structured outputs, retrieval, and evals • Daily use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor • Ability to configure AI coding agents with project instructions, skills, MCP servers, hooks, and subagents; run tasks in parallel and review output • Good product sense and ability to make UI decisions without a dedicated designer • High agency and ability to unblock yourself • Clear written communication • Experience with Python, Kotlin, Hasura, TypeScript, NestJS, Go, React, Next.js, React Native, PostgreSQL, pgvector, Snowflake, Temporal, gRPC/Protobuf, AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, LaunchDarkly, Claude, and OpenAI models • Nice to have: healthcare or regulated-industry experience, HIPAA, payer and claims workflows, EHR integrations, HL7/FHIR, Temporal or another durable workflow engine, React Native, production LLM evaluations or safety checks, agent harnesses, MCP servers, coding-agent plugins, open-source work, or internal tools used by others
