📋 Description

• Report to the Chief Compliance Officer, with dotted-line reporting to the Deputy Head of Compliance. • Work closely with business, technology, marketing, and legal teams to conduct compliance assessments and provide compliance and risk mitigation requirements. • Act as the overall individual contributor and escalation point for business-as-usual compliance operations. • Make informed decisions on matters not requiring direct escalation to senior compliance leadership. • Review and update global compliance procedures and policies to ensure regulatory compliance. • Prioritise and manage compliance case queues. • Review and resolve payment compliance cases in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners on payment-related compliance issues. • Manage escalations from transaction monitoring and ensure prompt investigation and resolution. • Evaluate and escalate Chainalysis KYT alerts and blockchain-related suspicious activity cases. • Assist with law enforcement requests, subpoenas, court orders, and official information requests. • Assist with external party requests from banks, partners, and regulators while ensuring legal and contractual compliance. • Serve as key decision-maker for non-critical compliance escalations and determine when issues require senior leadership escalation. • Ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance in decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Compliance, or related fields. • 5-6 years of experience in financial services, fintech, or cryptocurrency compliance operations. • Experience in leading a team. • Mandatory experience utilising on-chain investigative tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or equivalent tools. • In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC/KYB/KYT processes, blockchain analytics, and payments compliance. • Experience assisting with law enforcement inquiries and external partner requests is a strong advantage. • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple high-volume case queues. • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills. • High ethical standards and professional integrity. • Malaysian citizenship required; applicants from other countries will be disqualified during initial screening.
