📋 Description

• Design scalable solutions by developing and maintaining Java-based backend applications and microservices • Implement Spring Boot applications using clean-code, testing, and performance-optimization best practices • Work with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines • Use event-driven architecture to build robust asynchronous systems with decoupled services • Design and maintain efficient relational database integrations • Participate in architectural discussions and perform code reviews • Promote strong engineering standards and best practices • Use AI code companions and intelligent development tools to improve productivity, accelerate development, and maintain code quality • Mentor junior developers and foster collaboration and continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development using Java 8 or above • Strong proficiency with Spring Boot and the Spring framework ecosystem • Hands-on experience designing and implementing RESTful microservices • Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries and working with databases • Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, message-driven systems, and distributed systems • Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins • Experience with Git, Agile development practices, and cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure • Hands-on experience with AI code companions and intelligent development tools • Strong English communication skills • Regular use of AI tools to improve productivity and automate or reduce repetitive work • Ability to structure effective prompts, critically validate AI outputs, understand limitations, and take ownership of final results • German language skills are a plus • Familiarity with performance tuning and monitoring Java applications is a plus • Knowledge of security best practices in backend development is a plus • Full-stack development experience with Angular or React is a plus
