📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and support engineers through regular 1:1s and feedback sessions, fostering both professional and personal growth • Drive hiring efforts by conducting technical interviews, making hiring decisions, and onboarding new team members • Act as a technical sparring partner within the engineering team through code reviews and pair programming • Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of the Acture platform • Design, build, and ship new features across both backend and frontend • Collaborate closely with the VP Engineering to define features and enhance user experience • Ensure high-quality releases through testing and QA • Work with a modern tech stack including Ruby on Rails, RSpec, Capybara, PostgreSQL, JavaScript, and Tailwind CSS • Maintain and improve a clean, efficient, and sustainable codebase

🎯 Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering, ideally at Staff Engineer level • Strong full-stack expertise in Ruby on Rails • Bachelor-level thinking and working ability • Solid understanding of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL), MVC frameworks, and TDD • Experience with REST APIs, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies • Proven leadership experience—formal or informal (mentoring, onboarding, technical guidance) • Passion for clean, maintainable code and thorough testing practices • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (C1+)
