Acusensus is an Australian company that develops AI-driven camera and hardware systems for automated traffic enforcement and road-safety behaviour monitoring. Its Heads-Up solution uses computer vision to detect illegal mobile phone use, seatbelt non-compliance, speeding and other risky driver behaviours, capturing prosecutable evidence and enabling government and transport authorities to change behaviour and reduce road trauma. Acusensus deploys fixed, trailer and real-time systems internationally and partners with jurisdictions to implement large-scale enforcement programs.

📋 Description

• Identifying and prioritising viable countries based on road safety needs and regulatory landscapes. • Spearheading legislative changes to enable the adoption of technology that combats distracted driving. • Building relationships with Ministries of Transport, Police Forces, and road safety advocacy groups. • Personally identifying and closing initial strategic pilot projects and commercial contracts. • Establishing foundational operations, including legal and financial structures, with support from our Global HQ.

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive business development and leadership experience. • Deep understanding of European government landscapes, specifically in road safety, transport, law enforcement, or "smart cities". • Exceptional negotiation, cross-cultural agility, and the resilience to build a business from scratch. • Existing "gravitas" and the ability to influence policy and navigate complex multi-jurisdictional procurement processes. • Fluency in English and German is required (additional European languages are a plus).
