• Monitor developments in climate change, climate justice, and human mobility. • Build relationships with climate-affected communities that have experienced or are at risk of forced displacement. • Coordinate participatory research and documentation on climate-induced displacement. • Strengthen and coordinate the Regional Network for Climate Mobility (K'at). • Design and implement advocacy and communications initiatives. • Support the development of evidence-based public policies related to climate displacement. • Document lessons learned, best practices, and program experiences. • Support monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) processes, including baseline development. • Participate in planning, monitoring, strategy discussions, and team coordination. • Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations, networks, and coalitions. • Represent AFSC in regional forums, coordination platforms, and thematic discussions. • Strengthen partner and community capacity on climate mobility, advocacy, and intercultural approaches. • Prepare narrative progress and results reports. • Support fundraising proposals and strategic planning. • Manage assigned activities, timelines, and budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, law, international relations, development studies, geography, environmental science, or a related field required. • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in human mobility, forced migration, human rights, climate change, or related programs required. • Demonstrated experience working directly with communities, grassroots organizations, and/or civil society in the field, preferably in Central America or Mexico. • Knowledge of and/or experience with the climate change–forced displacement nexus, including protection frameworks, public policy, or applied research. • Experience in advocacy processes, alliance-building, and network coordination at the regional and local levels. • Experience generating and systematizing evidence through participatory and/or community-based methodologies. • Solid understanding of the migration and human mobility context in Central America and Mexico, including forced displacement, return migration, and climate migration dynamics. • Understanding of international regulatory frameworks related to migration, forced displacement, and climate change. • Strong written and oral communication skills in Spanish; English desirable. • Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and to travel, as required. • Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment in multicultural, geographically dispersed settings. • Experience with standard Microsoft Office and remote collaboration platforms. • Commitment to Quaker values and testimonies.
