📋 Description

• Process tenders from transmission system operators (TSOs) for protection and secondary systems in high- and extra-high-voltage substations • Design and size protection systems for 220 kV and 380 kV installations in accordance with standards and operational safety • Develop protection concepts such as distance protection, differential protection and breaker-failure logic • Configure protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC (e.g., 7SA6, 7SD6) and create consistent device settings • Conduct technical clarifications and coordinate with TSOs, planners, customers and internal specialist departments • Prepare protection diagrams, logic matrices, deviation lists and technical specifications • Create and review FAT and SAT test plans for factory acceptance and commissioning tests • Supervise protection tests and support fault analysis and commissioning

🎯 Requirements

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or comparable qualification • Experience with protection relays such as Siemens SIPROTEC (7SA6, 7SD6, 7UT6, 7SJ6), ABB RELION or GE MiCOM • Proficient with planning software such as ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or PSS/E • Configure protection devices using DIGSI 5/6 or ABB PCM600 • Use test systems such as OMICRON Test Universe (CMC, CMControl) or Doble F6150 • Familiar with relevant standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 60255, VDE 0101/0102 and ENTSO‑E guidelines • Produce technical documentation in AutoCAD, EPLAN or MS Visio • Deep understanding of protection engineering, network operation procedures and secondary systems • Willingness to travel occasionally to test facilities, customer sites or construction sites • Fluent in German and English
