📋 Description

• Maintain working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations closing procedures and lending laws • Interpret investor guidelines and apply them to specific loans • Review property documents, including appraisal, purchase agreement, title, and insurance, for accuracy and completeness • Ensure properties are structurally sound and meet agency guidelines and client overlays • Determine the soundness and accuracy of property appraisal reports • Review title and insurance documents for sufficient coverage and adequate treatment of encumbrances and clauses • Audit property documents daily from a salability standpoint and note exceptions • Assess risk and review for frauds and red flags

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in core US mortgage residential underwriting; candidates with UK, Australia, NZ, or other-country underwriting experience need not apply • Working knowledge of US Mortgage Originations closing procedures • Knowledge of federal and state lending laws • Ability to interpret and apply FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and USDA investor guidelines to specific loans • Bachelor's degree • Strong knowledge of mortgage loan documents
